- The importance of keeping focused on your goals
- How to use time wisely during study
- Managing stress and anxiety
- Tips for avoiding procrasination
Resource: Goal Setting
Throughout these tutorials we will link you to resources from Australian Universities or other helpful sites. These resources will provide more information and also encourage you through exercises to better understand and practice the content of the tutorial. Most links are embedded in the tutorial or open up in a new tab/window so you can easily return to this Tutorial.
Since these resources are not Morling specific, you should always take Morling's Requirements as the final authority.
Resource: Goal Setting (click on heading to open page)
This resource from the University of New England will help you consider:
- Reasons for setting goals
- Different types of goals
- Setting realistic, achievable goals
- Analysing your goals in detail
- Visualising goals and successes
- More information
Reflect: What are your goals?
- Can you explain in one or two sentences why you are studying?
- Do you have a specific goals/ministries/plans in mind?
(for Reflection questions in these tutorials you can write as much as you would like to but aim for about 50-100 words)
Spend some time in prayer about these goals. It would be good to share these with others (family members, Ministry Mentor, Study Mentor etc.)
